Third Quarter 2017 Discipleship Classes:

Southside will be launching a new round of discipleship classes this August. If you've never attended a discipleship class we highly encourage you to attend a class this August, it's a great way to learn more about your faith and grow in your walk with Christ. All classes will start Wednesday, August 23rd, at 6:30pm, unless otherwise noted.

Breathing Room
 Taught By: Wendell Gaskin
In our attempt to get the most out of life, it’s easy to lose control of our lives. For most of us, breathing room feels more like a luxury than a necessity. In this series we'll learn how to create breathing room in our schedules, our finances, and our relationships.

Communicating With Influence
Taught By: Johnny McDowell
In this 4 week class you will come to realize that poor communication is the main reason problems aren’t solved. In this class you will also discover "the law and skill of communicating with influence” (seek to understand, even before being understood). This is most often counter opposite of the communication culture we live and work in which basically says “I talk, you listen and when I leave it’s up to you to understand what was said to you.”

Home Heart Health Care
 Taught By: Dennis Clark
It has been said that home is where the heart is. For me, it is. I admit that I am a homebody. There is no place like it. But, even those of us that look at the home, as their heart, must periodically examine the heart health of their home. Is it being built on the right foundation? Is its spiritual temperature rising? In this four-week study we will look at key components for laying the solid Biblical foundation and then building accordingly.

Through topics like; God’s Purpose for Marriage, The Refining Power of Marriage, The God-Centered Spouse, Sacred History and more, we can self-assess and engage deeply and prayerfully with a Godly design for our Marriage.
