Small Groups

One of the ways we measure success at Southside is by how effective our ministries are in moving people from our large environments into life groups.

At Southside, our life groups are the best place for sustained life change to occur. In a life group, people study God's Word together and discuss the issues and challenges of life. It's also where they pray, care for one another, and are missed if they don't show up.

We have life groups meeting every weekend. Some meet on Sunday morning on our campuses while most meet on Sunday evenings, both on and off campus throughout the community.

If you would like to get involved in leading or joining a life group, please email us at lifegroups@southsidefamily.com, or give us a call at 478-953-9388.

Southside Kids

Awali Land
9:00am and 10:45am Sunday mornings.

Awali Land is an exciting ministry for our nursery and preschool children. Our mission in Awali Land is to give preschoolers (birth through kindergarten) a lasting impression of God. We believe that it is never too early to begin building a foundation of faith, and that even the littlest children have a tremendous capacity to learn and apply basic Bible principles.

In Awali Land, we teach and reinforce three basic truths:

  • God Made Me
  • God Loves Me
  • Jesus Wants to be My Friend Forever

We consider Awali Land to be a foundational ministry of our church, and it is definitely not a babysitting service. With creative environments, loving volunteers, and hands-on learning experiences, we strive to provide the very best care for our precious preschoolers during every Sunday morning worship service.

252 Kids
9:00am and 10:45am Sunday mornings.

2:52 Kid’s is the place where elementary aged kids meet new friends and study God’s Word while their parents are in the adult worship services. It’s also a environment where the Bible comes alive, the music is seriously jammin’, and the leaders really care.

Although we teach all kinds of virtues and principles in 2:52 kids, we especially emphasize three basic truths. We think that these three truths are extremely important for elementary students to know. These three truths are:

  • I need to make the wise choice.
  • I can trust God no matter what.
  • I should treat others the way I want to be treated.

Collide
Sunday Nights
5:30pm Sunday Nights.

Collide meets every Sunday evening at 5:30 in the main auditorium. You can come as early as 5 and hang out as late as 8pm. Collide is designed to challenge high school students to consider being a follower of Christ, equip those who are followers Christ, and worship God through music and studying the Bible. After our service we break out into small groups to grow and have accountable relationships with other students.

Celebrate Recovery

Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-centered 12-step program based on the eight beatitudes of Jesus Christ. Participants step out of denial and into God's grace. We take an honest moral and spiritual inventory of ourselves and then work toward setting that inventory right with God, ourselves, and others. We look to Love God through worship, Love People through our small group program, and Love the World through service.

Baptism

The Baptism Process at Southside has been designed to be both simple and meaningful. The first step in this process is to contact our evangelism department. From there we will set up a meeting to talk through this meaningful event in your life. Once that conversation happens, we schedule you for the actual Baptism moment during one of our morning worship services.

For more information about Baptism please call us at 478-953-9388 and ask for Sandy Henson.
